The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Day is a celebration of the global community working to advance cloud security. The CSA Day (April 2) is a day set aside by the Cloud Security Alliance, the world’s leading not-for-profit organization committed to awareness, implementation, and credentialing of AI, cloud, and Zero Trust.

For 24 hours on April 2, CSA will offer 50% off online training and certificate exams.

What is CSA Day 2026?

The CSA Day reflects the Cloud Security Alliance’s mission to promote education, research, and collaboration that help organizations secure the technologies shaping today’s digital world. CSA Day 2026 is a 24-hour global event :

  • Designed to accelerate cloud security education worldwide
  • All CSA trainings and certification exams are 50% off
  • Runs for one day only (April 2, 2026)

Why the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) certifications matter

The top three cloud security providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform) offer training and certifications to help cloud security professionals understand and deploy resources on their respective platforms. The CSA certifications are vendor-neutral, and it’s the layer above AWS, Azure and GCP, where real decisions happen: Architecture, Governance, Risk, Zero Trust, Multi-cloud strategy.

The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) certificates help professionals validate expertise, strengthen career credibility, and demonstrate the knowledge required to secure cloud and AI technologies.

Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) – Foundation Level

The CCSK is a vendor-neutral certification from the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) that validates the knowledge required to develop a security program that meets international standards. The CCSK certificate is highly regarded as the benchmark for cloud security expertise and provides a comprehensive, unbiased understanding of how to effectively secure data in the cloud.

The CCSK exam was selected as the 2025 Winner of the Cybersecurity Excellence Award for Best Cloud Security Certification. 3 The CCSK is an open-book, online exam completed in 90 minutes with 60 multiple-choice questions randomly selected from the CCSK question pool.

2. CCZT (Certificate of Competence in Zero Trust)

The CCZT is the cloud security industry’s first, most authoritative, vendor-neutral Zero Trust training and certificate program. The CCZT was collaboratively designed with insights from CISA, NIST, and CSA’s Zero Trust experts and guidance from Zero Trust pioneer John Kindervag.

The CCZT validates proficiency in Zero Trust Architecture, Software Defined Perimeter, and related concepts. The CCZT’s 90-minute open-book exam covers six core areas of Zero Trust knowledge and includes various preparatory materials.

3. The Trusted AI Safety Expert (TAISE) certificate

The Trusted AI Safety Expert (TAISE) certificate, developed by the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and Northeastern University, equips professionals to lead the safe, secure, and responsible development and deployment of AI systems.

The TAISE covers the full AI lifecycle from generative AI fundamentals and architecture to governance, risk management, privacy, and cloud security. Through a 10-module course and final exam, you’ll gain the frameworks, tools, and practices needed to navigate regulatory requirements, protect against emerging threats, and build organizational trust in AI.

Cloud Security Alliance Trainings

Advanced Cloud Security Practitioner (ACSP)

In this advanced, hands-on, multi-day course, delve deep into practical cloud security and applied DevSecOps for enterprise-scale cloud deployments. You will learn how to configure a production-quality account with multiple virtual networks and core security controls, as well as build a deployment pipeline, integrate it into an existing application stack, and code a variety of security automation controls. This training expands on the basics of the CCSK.

STAR Lead Auditor Training

In association with the British Standards Institution (BSI), CSA has developed the BSI/CSA STAR Lead Auditor Training, a self-paced course to help assessors, service providers, and consultants better manage the security of cloud services, as well as provide the credentials necessary to become a qualified STAR Auditor. The STAR Certification scheme is an industry-wide initiative that provides a framework for assessing the security and privacy practices of CSPs along with a maturity model that measures the strengths and weaknesses of an organization.

Prerequisites: ISO/IEC 27001 audit qualification or equivalent experience. Knowledge of Cloud Computing and associated services (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)

Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge – Plus Course

The CCSK Plus builds on the foundation class with expanded material and offers extensive hands-on activities that reinforce classroom instruction. Students engage in a scenario of bringing a fictional organization securely into the cloud, which gives them the opportunity to apply their knowledge by performing a series of activities that would be required in a real-world environment.

My Take (From Experience)

After going through certifications like CISSP, CCSP, AWS (7), GCP (7) and Azure (4), one thing became clear:

Certifications only matter when they change how you think – not just what you know.

After going through the study material for the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) CCSK certification, I concluded that the exam enables one to think in terms of systems, not services (systems-thinking), risk, not features (risk-awareness), and architecture, not tools (architecture-thinking). And in today’s environment, where organizations are running across AWS, Azure, and GCP simultaneously, this way of thinking is no longer optional. It’s required.

The Bigger Trend: Cloud Security, AI, and What’s Coming
We are entering a new phase of cloud security. Where:

  • AI systems are making decisions
  • Identities are no longer human
  • Infrastructure is fully distributed

CSA is already ahead of this curve:

  • Driving Zero Trust frameworks
  • Leading AI security conversations
  • Shaping global cloud security standards

This is not just about certifications. It’s about aligning yourself with where the industry is going.
